Singing Valentines PHOTOS! Music Education Conference  Jan 21st, 2012 Michigan
Music Conference in Grand Rapids MI at the Devos Place the Barbershop
Harmony Society's Pioneer District was well represented.
There was a booth set up with a couple quartets working the
floor. Nels Carlson of Muskegon I think heading the effort
was there schmoozing and working the booth I saw Don Slamka of
Hillsdale. I understand Mike O'Donnell of Grand Rapids had
been there earlier and yesterday guys from the Muskegon Shoreline
Chorus as well. There was also a pickup quartet including
Paul Keiser from the Brighton Livingston Lamplighters, also
Paul Teska and James Windak from Huron Valley Harmonizers, and Charles
Nalbandian of Wayne Chapter. I also saw Toby Shaver of Grand
Rapids at his own business booth but I understand he snuck away to sing
a few as well:) 2011 College Quartet Representatives and 2011
District Quartet Champions Ebb N' Flow were also singing and wooing the

GLC 2011-12 International Reps  Oct 15th, 2011 The Great Lakes Chorus competed against barbershop choruses from 10 major cities in MI and Ontario and won to represent the area as the Pioneer District 2012 International Chorus Reps at Internationals in Portland OR 4th of July weekend 2012! Convention details click here for details. 2011-12 Sr Quartet Int Reps  Oct 14th, 2011 The Grand Rapids Chapter quartet Showtime won at District to compete as 2012 Senior International Reps Jan 17-22nd, 2012 at the Midwinter Convention in Tucson AZ.
